Lawson’s Finest Liquids: Experience Vermont Craft Beer at Its Best

Lawson’s Finest Liquids began its journey in 2008 in Warren, Vermont, founded by Sean Lawson, a passionate brewer inspired by homebrewing. The small barn-style brewhouse, known as the "Crooked Cabin," quickly garnered a loyal following, driven by its innovative craft beers such as the famed "Sip of Sunshine" IPA. In 2018, Lawson relocated to a spacious facility in Waitsfield, creating a welcoming taproom that embodies rustic charm. Visitors can enjoy superb beers alongside thoughtfully crafted food, featuring local ingredients like Vermont Farmstead cheeses. The warm atmosphere and dedication to quality make every visit an exceptional experience, ideal for craft beer enthusiasts and newcomers alike.

Good parking work spots for EV charging. The space itself is spacey inside and out. Very nice! The beers speak for themselves. We ordered 2 scripted flights, so I had some new beers and some familiar liquids. I wish I could have samples a few more. They also have wines and ciders if beer isn't your speed.

What a great place to sit and relax with friends. The beer was good and the food bites were delicious. They have an open space inside seating along with a great patio with outdoor seating. I’d love to see it during a cooler time period to see if they have fire pits to sit outside around. Right now if you want service everyone orders at the bar and picks up drinks and food when ready to take back to your table. They did have a few people walking around to pick up empties. Another great thing they did, the tips are all given to charity. Every two weeks they select a non-profit and donate all tips to the selected organization. What a great way to support local charities.

We finally made our first visit to Lawson’s Finest Liquids now that they’re dog friendly—and it was absolutely fantastic! We bring our dogs everywhere, so we were thrilled to see their new dog area. It’s clean, spacious, and a great place for pups to play and socialize. The beer and food were both top-notch. We sampled all of the limited pilot beers and loved every single one—creative, balanced, and brewed with care. The vibe was welcoming, and the staff was great. As we were packing up to head out, a friendly man and his dog stopped to ask how our visit was. Turned out it was Sean Lawson himself! So humble and genuine—it really made our day and left a lasting impression. We can't wait to come back. Huge thank you to Lawson’s for opening the doors to dog lovers like us!

Had a great time. There was a short wait (10-15 min) list of seating when we got there but sat by the fire and enjoyed a beer while we waited. Once seated we got up to order food at the bar and it was delivered to us quickly! I got the pretzel with everything season, my husband got the grilled cheese, the loaded taters (which we were surprised but not disappointed to find they are potatoes not tater tots ) and we had beers all around. Definitely interested in a return visit next time we ski Sugarbush

The beer hall itself is large and beautiful although not historic and offers some locally producer beer. The beer itself was pretty basic and did not match my taste too much. Overall it’s a borderline 4 stars to me just because the beer is fresh is local but it’s not worth a detour. You can get a beer flight but only some pre-selected options or you can get small half-portions of beer as an alternative

We had an awesome experience at Lawson’s Finest Liquids Taproom. The staff was incredible and went above and beyond to accommodate our large group during a really busy time, which we truly appreciated. Special thanks to Ray for making the visit especially memorable.. his hospitality did not go unnoticed. We’ll definitely be recommending Lawson’s brews (and the taproom experience!) to everyone in our group and beyond.

This is an amazing place to stop by for a beer and a snack. They have an extensive food list with some healthier options, as well as ice creams made with beer and larger meals. The beer is good too, and Lawson’s has won several awards for their IPAs. I think the lagers are fantastic too, and the flight is an excellent choice. They do not accept tips but if you wish, they will accept a donation to charity at the end of the stay with your bill. It’s a gorgeous taproom and the patio is excellent. A must-stop.

Great, as I remembered it from years ago; just a lighter crowd at the very beginning of the ski season, LOL - I could sit at the bar! Pilsener was my choice, so good I had two. I was also allowed to have a taste of the seasonal Maple Triple Ale that is out of this planet. My pretzel came with a generous portion of beer cheese dip. Chase and Reese are awesome, friendly and knowledgeable “beertenders”.
